Files never leave this device

Conversion, scanning, OCR, merging, encryption, and code generation run in your browser using local libraries. Emani does not upload your documents to an application server for processing.

What is stored locally

Theme preference and a short history of file names are saved in localStorage on this browser. History does not include file contents. Names are removed after 24 hours, or sooner if you clear history. Result files kept for re-download live only in this tab’s memory and disappear when the tab is closed.

Auto-delete

There is no Emani file locker. Close the tab and the processed bytes are gone. If you need the output, download it first.

Third-party scripts

OCR language data may be fetched from Tesseract’s public language packs when you run OCR. Fonts may load from Google Fonts. Those requests do not include your documents.
